Effective date: 17 October 2026. This version identifies GoDaddy as the website hosting provider.
Scope of this notice
This notice covers information collected through the Ellis & Associates website and its initial inquiry form. Accepted ADR matters may require separate engagement terms and procedures for protected submissions. Nothing in this notice reduces a confidentiality protection or other right established by applicable law.
Information collected
The inquiry form collects the name, email address, organization, telephone number, requested service, preferred date, session format, and brief overview that you choose to provide. It also stores a request identifier, a reference number, the submission time, and a hashed network identifier used to limit repeated submissions. Hosting and sign in providers may process technical information such as network addresses, device or browser information, service logs, and authentication information needed to operate and protect the website.
How information is used
Inquiry information is used to review and respond to a request, discuss an appropriate process, arrange scheduling, and maintain related administrative records. Technical identifiers support submission limits, reliability, and access protection. Submitting an inquiry does not book a session, appoint a neutral, or create an attorney client relationship.
Access and disclosures
The website inquiry inbox is restricted to the authorized site owner through sign in and an access check. Website hosting, data storage, and authentication providers process information needed to deliver those services, including GoDaddy services used to host this website. Information may also be disclosed when applicable law requires it or when a lawful disclosure is necessary to address security, protect rights, or administer an accepted engagement consistently with its governing confidentiality requirements.
California Do Not Track disclosures
The firm’s custom website code does not install advertising pixels or perform behavioral tracking of visitors across unrelated websites, and it does not change its operation in response to a browser Do Not Track signal. The website form does not send inquiry information to advertising networks or use it for cross context behavioral advertising. Third party hosting or authentication providers may collect technical or activity information over time and across their services or other websites under their own privacy practices; their independent processing is described in their privacy policies.
Retention and security
Inquiry records may be retained for request review, scheduling, related recordkeeping, conflict administration, and applicable legal requirements. Access restrictions and submission controls support protection of the inquiry inbox, but no method of internet transmission or storage is guaranteed to be completely secure. Requests for deletion are reviewed against the purpose of the record, applicable confidentiality duties, legal requirements, and any need to preserve information.
Review, correction, and privacy requests
Use the website contact form to request review, correction, or deletion of inquiry information, identifying the request as a privacy inquiry. Include the inquiry reference and only the contact information needed to identify the record, without sending identity documents, financial records, or confidential evidence. The operator may need appropriate verification before disclosing or changing a record, and any rights and response requirements provided by applicable California law remain intact.
Sensitive information and mediation materials
The public form is intended for a brief initial overview rather than substantive evidence or sensitive personal records. Do not submit account numbers, health records, financial statements, passwords, or detailed protected materials through it. Appropriate submission procedures can be confirmed for the particular engagement, and statutory protection for a qualifying mediation consultation or mediation remains governed by applicable law.
Changes to this notice
Material changes to this notice will be identified through a dated update notice on this page. The effective date identifies the current published version, and additional notice will be provided when applicable law requires it. A policy update does not eliminate a legal right or change a case agreement merely because the website text changes.
Provider privacy information
Consult GoDaddy’s privacy policy for their independent practices. That policy is separate from the firm’s handling of inquiries. You can direct a request about the firm’s inquiry records through the website contact form.
